Correcto. There are all different types, some are just O2, the one I've got does O2, HE, CO.
Just wondering when they where last calibrated is all. I do that type of work. Medical gas analysing. |
Not sure on theirs, mine was calibrated for all gases in Oct-13. It's certainly possible theirs isn't calibrated correctly, but it's partial pressure blending, so the 50% is blended based on volume and the pure O2 'should' be as simple as cleaned and filled straight from a G.

Is that the LOLO database? |
What would happen if you didn't test them and then used them?
|
If I had assumed they were 50 and 100 and cut my dive plan accordingly I would end my decompression stops still nitrogen saturated and probably (although not guaranteed) to end up with decompression sickness ie the bends.
Knowing that they are 40 and 80 means I have to recut my plans and it extends my deco stops due to slower nitrogen offgassing. It's not a huge problem by itself, but as I've planned multiple deep dives (+50m) using these gases, means longer time on these gases, resulting in less gas overall, and I don't like starting my deco stops with already less than half full tanks, which now I will. |
the oxy we use is 100% medical grade from boc gases at 9m, but i think thats purchased with permits.
|
I've said it before, I'm really surprised you guys are using O2 at 9 metres. At 6m you've hit 1.6 bar which is O2's MOD, and anything deeper dramatically increases risk of oxygen toxicity. Are you ADAS or Aqua? Curious to whether it's industry standard practice, although I know for a fact that SAT won't let you get away with it.
And also out of curiosity, what's an average depth/time? Interesting to see, if you don't mind me asking. |

You would be correct. The Bane of "all Telco's using Telstra infrastructure" existence. |

Yup, couldn't agree more. Having a freshly build network (ie NBN) would make life a hell of a lot easier! |
Wondered why the weeds coming through the pavers in the patio haven't died after spraying them 3 times.
Misses kindly pointed out that I've been spraying them with Insect Defender... :( |
Lol
........ so pulled over to the side over the road to check the map on her phone. Cop goes past, she's her looking at the phone. Pulls over and fines her for it. What a crock of shit
If the car was legally 'parked' then you would probably be found not guilty in court. It would be interesting to follow it up with some questions as to whether a parked car can still be running? If the car had broken down (check engine light came on for example) on the side of the road a phone can be used surely? |
Agree, if "parked" may be worth pursuing in court rather than paying fine.
|
It's my understanding that the Car has to be off with the keys out of the ignition.
If not you're going to have a bad time. |

Glyphosate (the active ingredient in roundup) is cheap. People get stung at bunnings when they buyvhighly diluted ready to use crap in a trigger bottle, We buy it by the pallet at work and a 20ltr drum of 540gram / litre is around $120. If you look at how much active ingredient you get at bunnings you will be shocked. Brendon |
pee on it. I killed a bouganvillea by pissing on it everyday for 2 weeks.
Works even better when you have guests over |

Only out the front, thankfully they have been quite easy to manage.
Try salty water, bit cheaper then what's on the shelves.
Found the proper stuff this morning and gave everything a few squirts.
Glyphosate (the active ingredient in roundup) is cheap. My next move will be to get some of this and use in the new year. |
People who think just because they have their hazard lights on they can stop/park wherever the hell they want.
|
the general stupidity on the roads the last day or so (way worse than usual)
Is it just my imagination, or has it got a whole lot worse since the double demerits kicked in? |
Gumby I've noticed the same thing! . Some brain dead drivers out there atm

oh, I wasn't just referring to speed (but you are right about that point). Seems people are being overly cautious to the point of nearly causing accidents....or just plain stupid.... either way, in a way, I am glad I fly back to work for the bulk of the double demerits period. Not worth the frustration. |
Wondered why the weeds coming through the pavers in the patio haven't died after spraying them 3 times.
Yeah Everyone is doing 10-20k's under everywhere in the right hand lanes :BangHead:
Yup and there is me zipping around at the speed limit and every one gives me evils.:BangHead: |
It's so frustrating. People don't understand that you don't get demerit points unless you are caught 10 or more over the limit anyway. So driving 10 under the limit is just plain pointless, and doing it on the right hand lane while people want to get past is just plain dumb. Le sigh.

cranky boy really gotta lower your dosage.. |
Mrs had a car accident on Sunday night, fractured tibia, 2 fractured ankles.I am delivering her presents to her hospital bed tomorrow morning. Pretty farken emo! Popped the bone right out of the skin, get that image in your minds eye.
Insured up to the eyeballs, so that's all good - but lengthy recovery period. Thankfully she survived and will obviously recover. Can't think of anything worse than having to put someone you love in a box at this time of year. Be safe on the road guys and think of the consequences. |
Hey Rich - That sucks dude! I wish her a speedy recovery.
Be safe everyone! |

Glad to hear she will be ok. Wishing her a speedy recovery. Hope you are ok too.
|
Without going onto any cunty tangents, was she at fault?
Just sounds like you are rightfully unhappy at whats happened, but no mention of anger towards others. Glad to hear she will be ok. |
