Some mines don't allow anything other than lace ups, Rio specifically do not allow composite toe - they must be steel.

I usually wear sneakers & put my boots in my carry on.

I don't bother to do them up, just kick them off as I approach security.

Ok well all mine sites, oil rigs, and platforms I've been to have been fine with my Steel Blue lace up at front and with zip on the side for easy on off...also complete slip on boots are fine on barrow and rigs, and other platforms. It's actually preferable to have full slip on boots when on the drill floor depending on what you're doing, e.g. handling SBM.

Lace up on some O&G sites as some silly buggers have managed to trip and sprain ankles due to loose fit
Lace up can still be an issue if you don't lace up properly

Which rig are you on RJ

What do you do on the rigs RJ? Are you white collar, trade or grunt? Genuine question, my brother is looking to get into offshore (currently sparkie with bhp ).
