Apart from having to wait longer than promised for my car to be ready I find it hard to believe that Mao would purposely rip someone off for something like brake pads. Hell I wanted to do a full brake upgrade and he said just put dot5 fluid to improve braking performance and he was spot on.

Saint 23: Yes it is one of the above. Name has been given to Taylor and full contact details are also on the brake pad packaging.

Maybe it's not intentional and the person he brings them in from has supplied something different. You never know and accidents happen. The response given so far is shit though and that fuels doubts if you ask me.

MadDocker: Thank you for the suggestion.

First of all I have not heard from Taylor regarding this problem until I saw his post on PWRX which I responded by telling him to contact the project Mu Distributor whose name is written on the box of the pads I sold him.

Further to that, Racer Industries is your Australian distributor and not manufacturer.

Also, I am happy to get a written statement via cc or email to the supplier regarding the pads.

They've said they didn't manufacturer the pads. If you dispute this, why don't you give some substance to your claim and satisfy/reassure your customer? Shouldn't be hard to prove if they are in fact legitimate.

Why do you keep referring to the packaging that Taylor has a number of times said has been binned? Selective viewing?

Again, just my opinion but, had you of posted a reply like that and got the ball rolling on an email from the supplier as soon as you became aware of this it would of reflected a lot better on you and your company and probably gone some way to limit this thread.

Interested to see the final outcome of this.

Since everyone is asking for proof from Mao about his supplier is legit and did indeed supply him with rebranded PMU pads... Where is the official reply from ProjectMu Japan to the Australian distributor stating that they are indeed 6+ years old etc etc?

I'm on no ones side here but if you ask for one then why not the other?

Quite easy for an Aust dist to say such things about another non official supplier to discredit them and enforce their own legitimacy and stronghold on the market without proof.

So as I said at the beginning I'm not on anyone's side as I've never dealt with either Mao or the Aust dist but all facts need to be laid out on the table for all to see.

First of all, I have had no idea he has binned it. He has not communicated with me after I sent him the PM regarding contacting the Proj Mu distributor on the packaging.
