yes you can get your mate to buy the plates and then sell it to you, thou its a bit of messin round to do it i reckon but be worth it just to get around payin the name plate cost if those are the plates you really want witout makin some letters numbers or addin a number to it. basically you have to fill out the right to display form and go to like a taxation place or somethin like that to pay the stamp duty or whateva its called cant remember which only is a few dollars then go back to licensin and pay the transfer fee from your mates name to yours which is like ~$60 or therebouts. i think there is also another form to fill out but double check wit wrexxx as cant remember the whole procedure these days

Dumb question but have you checked that CHIN is still available. Pretty common name and lots of asians are happy to spend the big bucks for private plates..

hahaha at "GOT CHIN" .. thinking just CH1N or CHIN 88, dunno though because im a big fan of just plain and simple CHIN as it is.
