spraying some sort of name brand on there FMIC to add a little bit of spice to the car?

I wouldnt mind having a crack at it as i want to spray something along the lines of maybe "STI" or "TurboXS" since thats the brand of the cooler

Did you say "spice" or "rice"?

I'm trying to do this also.. I'd assume airbrushing it with some sort of heat resistant paint would be the ideal way of going about it..

I'm going to make up an aluminium template/stencil myself (eventually!) and can probably lend it to you if you like?

when you purchased a hybrid intercooler you get a template with the word hybrid and you can spray that on.... however in my opinion it would look tacky...

Does the paint cause a problem with blocking up the intercooler? I always figured that would be a downside, but I'm most likely wrong.

All my work is done by cypher industries. Zac at Cypher has a lazer cut aluminium stencil that i used to do mine. I'm not sure where you could get it made, but if you were to get something generic such as STI, it would get a lot of use by many people.

...and yes, i know, my cooler's not straight.
