Get a WRC copy bonnnet which already has the vent cut out in front of the scoop.. will look better and work better than a butchered stock bonnet. plus u can always sell the car with teh crap stock bonnet.

Aren't they illegal because they shatter instead of crumpling and reducing the effects of impact on the driver?

The drop in temps occurred directly after fitting the scoop round the other way.

Temps go straight back up if I fit forwards scoop again and half as much if i just blank the scoop off.

I look at the Link coolant temp all the time so its apples with apples.

Well me mates R33 has been pulled over about 7 times in a year and only once have they talked to him about the CF bonnet. And the time they did, they asked if he had a permit for it (as he had permits for alot of other stuff) and he replied;

"I got the car like this, sorry but i dont"

Nothing has been done about it and its clear as day that it is CF.

EDIT: This doesnt take away friom the fact that CF is dangerous, because if by chance it doesnt shatter, it will decap the driver. Very strong material imo.
