Default Guages

Hey Fellaz
Whats the go with fitting some gauges to my dash?
I have a 2000 WRX, is it worth just putting one boost gauge on the dash off to the right....or should i get a couple and actually have them put into the dash in the center? Anyone have any experiance with this stuff? What looks better and whats the price differences?
Any help would be good
Cheers boys

Don't bother with gauges unless you want them for looks.

If you're going to dash mount them, most pods take three gauges, so two plus a hole will be a bit out of place.

Or get two and mount them on your pillar. This might bring you some grief from the cops though.

depends on the quality you want if you just want something for looks just buy something that is cheap around $80 each....or something that actually works your lookin around the $200+ mark each

if your messing with boost levels/or have a boost controller its a good idea to have a boost gauge, a few will argue on here you dont need em, thats about all youd need for a midly modded rex, get a neat pillar mount for it, so it at least looks tidy.

no the pillar is on the right side of the driver, the curved part that runs up to the roof, between windshield and drivers window.

keep an eye out on the forums, they pop up all the time, i had one a lil while ago but ive sold it, or go down to evo r, or rms or oany other performance shop.

fairly easy to do yourself depends on how much you know about the car. if you have any second thoughts go get someone to do it for you because boost gauges involve cutting the boost line (duh lol) so not really something you want to mess up. only about $60 a gauge to be installed at most places just shop around

oh and get 2 gauges otherwise will look just plain weird in a pillar mount

can always custom fabricate a gauge pod. Fibreglass is dead easy to work with.
