My car was parked up at home and I have lots of shallow dents across roof, drivers side doors, fender, pillar, rear quarter panel and one or two on bonnet. Doesn't look very nice

Car is insured for $20k, and I'm booked for assesment on 28/10 with AAMI. Hoping they decide to repair it, but I'm thinking I should return the car to stock just in case as I'm told I won't have access to the car after assessment.
Dang that sux man car was looking real nice to

Had the Rok parked outside all week. Got home from holidays to find no hail damage :-) relived to say the least.

Mates missus car got hit pretty hard. She claimed yeah its hail damaged, we all called bullshit as we were watching it hail at the time.

To our surprise when she pulled up she was correct, I was more surprised she was even able to spot them on the bonnet! Better eye than most panel beaters I've been to.

Yeah the hail was pretty small, but it came down at a great rate of knots. Nobody in my house believed I had gotten much damage until they saw the car (they saw it get hailed on), but to their surprise there are dents everywhere. They're not big, but they are plentiful and have ruined the car.

AHG and other car dealers have sustained a lot of damage in Wangara too, so it has affected quite a few. Just lucky it was only a small band of suburbs that were hit this time really.

Yeah my friend was on wanneroo road near Wangara when it happened. Apparently people were turning onto median strips on freeway overpasses and stuff to avoid it

I'll try to get some with a better camera tomorrow. It's really hard to get it all to show up on my phone camera due to reflections and such. From a distance the car looks fine, but once the light hits it at the right angle it looks dimpled everywhere.

In some areas the hail wasn't exactly small.

This was at my place in Hocking. Picture taken 2 hours after it hit as I wasn't home at the time!

Got a couple of pics to show now. It really is quite hard to get the dents to show up on photo. The black and reflections are more than happy to hide them, but once light hits the car at the right angle it looks horrible.

I'll just link to them because they're quite big.

http://i.imgur.com/9eKd6SM.jpg - You can see some dents across the roof and pillar here. They're not all showing up there, all the ripples in the reflections are little dents.

A close up of the kind of dents. Some a little bit deeper than that, but most of them are like this: http://i.imgur.com/y8q8ica.jpg

The roof has about 50 dents, bonnet 10, fender around 30, both doors around the 20 mark, and pillar + rear quarter is another 20. Fair amount of little dents, but maybe they can be pulled out?

Got exactly the same problem with the missus's car. It was parked in Balcatta on Saturday arvo and it copped a lot of small but fast/heavy hail. When she got home it looked ok, but when I was filling it up last night with the sun at a low angle you can see loads of little dents all across the roof and bonnet.

I'm getting it assessed tomorrow, see how it goes.

Cheers,

Wrxpc
