has anyone used the perth wrx stickers on there cars and removed them cos i was going to get some but if they mark the paint mabe its not a good idea. would it be better to put stickers on the windows as they would be more resiliant than paintwork. anyone tried either?
also who do you get the perth wrx stickers from?

Fred,

for temporary sticker application, polishing beforehand is a must. You can try to leave some of the reside on the car and buff it off once the stickers are applied but I found this didn't allow the stickers to stick properly. So stop being a tight arse and buy some decent polish and polish it fresh and then apply the stickers. I have never had a drama.

tight arse??? I-T-A-L-I-A-N....it's genetic (ps - it was a gift too :-) )

I guess if it's worked for the RA, then I'll be fine - what polish you been using?

I find the tech wax is good stuff. Meguirs gear is all pretty good. If you paint is in good shape the tech wax is a good one coat system.

A good clean and polish before appling stickers is the go......

With the wet lay method it all depends on the size of the sticker.....
if you've got lots of letters in the case of sponsors names.... it makes it a bit of a bitch to pull the transfer off.... meaning the sticker comes off with it if your not careful.......

In regards to stickers on paint I had my wrx stickerd up rally style twice and I didn't have any probs removing the stickers either...... With fading if its in direct sunlight all day every day then I wouldn't do it..... I had a Perthwrx sticker on the bonnet well over a year and you could only just tell it had been there..... and if you knew to look..... and I had the WRC Blue Colour as well....

The Perth wrx stickers are made from a long lasting vynl which should be good for up to 3yrs at least....... and they wont hurt your paint.....

Clean the surface with Metho and then once thats dry, if you want to make sure you get all the bubbles out - use soapy water (not heaps) and squigee the bubbles out with an applicator.
