Hahaha, Yeah its worth it for sure! Took me 5mins to install. There’s 2 screws on the plastic surround and 3 screws to take out the cluster. Plugged straight in without any issues at all. Was awesome! lol

I have taken it back out for now, the km's haven’t been adjusted yet. Does anyone know where the km's can be changed? Does it cost lots of $$$?

I searched ebay for about 4 months before finding this one. Usually there about $600 delivered. When i spotted this one for only $350 delivered I just had to get it!! Got it from Canada

Guys, have a good look into the legallities of doing this.

It's the same as winding the clocks back on your car, but a lot easier to identify.

If you do it, do it right.

Yeah, wanna make sure the Km's are right. Would Subaru change it? Or any other place in Perth? I dont see how it could be bad with putting the km's up, lol.

From what ive read they fit into the bugeye no problem, but you do have to change a few wires. Ive seen a few people on nasioc who have done it. There might be a write up on there about it.

I don't think subaru can change it, you would probably have to take it to someone like Aisat instruments in Welshpool with a stat dec. stating the reason for the odometer change...

Most places i've spoken to won't do it without a stat dec.

OR!!!! You pretend they are original Kms and keep a log of the base reading of original and the aftermarket. Then, at time of sale add the difference and presto. You have an actual figure. Although, not one that will be demonstrated on either odometer. =S

Reviving this thread as I'm keen on doing this.

For people who have done this, do the needles do the sweep when you insert and turn the ignition key and most importantly, does the rev light/buzzer work?

Do bugeye STI clusters have red illumination as well?

I'm seeing heaps of bugeye STI clusters on sale, and I'm a little bit sussed as to why. Anyone with good info?
