Default Rear WRX Spoiler & Paint

Looking into replacing my standard rear spoiler and going for STI Rear Spoiler or the S204 Rear Spoiler for my Black 2007 (Pig) WRX.

Looking at the ones made from Fiberglass and will be primed & ready for paint.

I'm Looking for suggestions as to where in Perth to go and color match & Paint to suit my vehicle. Keen on anyones view on the same/similar situation, to explain past experiences.

Also What costs will i be looking at also.? (Ruff idea)

Cheers,

Have not decided which one either..

Chose the S204 but that's dependent on the dimensions of it 'mainly how high it sits'.

Be interested to get a spraypainters opinion on the 'ready to paint', claim though, as its a big risk to paint over something you haven't primed/prepared yourself and you don't know what conditions the primer used was designed for.

Yea that was just a random photo from Google images.. My bad, fixed now.

Regarding marc's post, I will definitely be looking into the whole priming thing. Cheers.

Looking at those pics above, does the S204 spoiler use the same mounting points/holes?

I would love to replace my spoiler, esepcially with something carbon fibre! The standard spoiler on my WRP10 is a bit boring.

Yes, your car will definitely need to be able to handle the extra hp the spoiler will introduce.

On a serious note, I think its worth about $200-300 for paint and fit, depends where you go

I reckon you do delete spoiler and spend the money on rear sway bar, aftermarket panel filter, and tune.

Apparently Ultrex sell one that use the same mounting holes. Very interesting.

ImPreSiV - Looking at Ditching my current spoiler first, looks kinda boring.. Currently have the S204 PU lip I installed few weeks ago. Changes the look of the car quite abit for the better.
