Heat barrier?
I have a turbo manifold on the Prelude which sits rather close to the underside of the bonnet. The manifold is ceramic coated.
As a result the paint on the underside of the bonnet has already yellowed. The top is fine at this stage. Will burn your hand if placed on the bonnet. Id prefer not to wrap the manifold. I've tried a sheet metal heat shield as a barrier but that seems pointless. Stock under hood sound deadener sheets don't seem to exist this side of town. These were not a OEM item. So I'm seeking ideas on how to insulate it and prevent it from screwing up the top paintwork. Any ideas on what could be done and where to get the materials?
