And as stated, there is now someone local who can make them for you also.

Any idea roughly what this Gav guy charges for install only? Might call him when they finally arrive.

Nope, sorry. He did mine along with my roof wrap. You'll have to call him as only he knows how long it took him to do them afterwards.

BUMP
OK guys, Gav @ GT Graphics now has some tail light overlays suitable for the Betty hatches. Perth Signwriting, Digital Imaging & Vehicle Signage - GT Graphics Supply: $50 set Application: $90 So $140 all up Don't have to wait for them to be shipped, and no need to risk fucking them when trying them yourself. They're cut a little differently so that they work over the curve a little better, and are slightly larger I think (mine from BlueBatMobile didn't actually cover my entire light and fell short by a few mm). mods, feel free to tell me off if it's inappropriate. Gav just asked me to spread the word. Not sure he has signed up on here?

After a crappy day with more alarm issues...this is great. I might almost have to list tail light overlays on the "things that make you happy thread".
I have already texted Gav to put my name down. Mint!! Thanks Trolley. |

I've smoked lights in the past and it can look ok for a short while but found that it fades/flakes over time (not overly long either). Sometimes pulling apart the light and spraying the chrome section black can look awesome:
Issue is the same as what the BRZ/86 owners are having. It's a tricky job as the light unit is sealed to the backing plastic. Means that you either need to cut with a dremel, or use a soldering iron/knife to remove it then seal it back up again when you are finished. Example of BRZ/86 lights: Before: After: Link to thread - Cutting open tail lights with a Solder iron! - Scion FR-S Forum | Subaru BRZ Forum | Toyota 86 GT 86 Forum | AS1 Forum - FT86CLUB |

Haha... Thanks guys for the suggestion. I should have checked this post earlier, I thought nobody provide such service in Perth. At least they don't advertise it, maybe something to do with legal issue?
Anyway, I have already tried 3 times, all failed! I even took the tail lights out to do it, I found it even worst! Don't try that! Trust me. It's easier to leave it on the car. I have to get more tint from eBay then I will contact those guys you have suggested. Mine is MY 12 sedan, I think it's much harder to tint, cause its in one piece. Where the hatch ones have 2 parts of tail light. And the piece on the boot is flat as well. |

Did you see that Gav can supply the film as well? He charges about $15 more than the landed price for the film but all up installed is reasonably good value still considering you don't waste a set in the process of trying to do it yourself.
