Hey just after some advice i had to put my car over the pits for the window tint being too dark however the only thing stopping me from passing the pits is the back privacy glass ! its too dark apparently and i can't figure out if it can be taken off (as told by the guys at the pits) or what else i have to do to get it to pass ! any help would be greatly appreciated as i am stuck as to what to do !

What have you got?
Newish car will have factory privacy glass.
If it is factory, they cannot whinge about it.

Unless you have tinted OVER the privacy glass.. then it's illegal lol.

Isn't privacy glass stained dark? e.g. doesn't have any film applied to the top of it.
If so, you can only removed it by removing the rear window, if the car was sold here in Australia with privacy glass then it shouldn't cause any problems at the pits.

People have privacy glass then add tint.

The car did have tint on the privacy glass hence the yellow sticker but i went through the pits today and although the glass is factory apparently its less than 35% so they wouldnt pass it, and it on a 2006 pig nose wrx!

They cannot fail a factory fitted feature.. otherwise the cars would not be sold in Australia this way.

Just spoke to the Welshpool tech centre and they confirmed that if factory that they can't defect the car however now it's finding out whether or not it is factory as the glass is defiantly privacy glass but how do i go back to the inspection centre and prove that infact it is a legal factory item ! tryed ringing subaru dealerships to no avail thus far !

Can anyone with a MY07 pig nose wrx clarify for me if they too have privacy glass on their rear passenger windows?
