Is it even that bad? Show us a pic...
I remember countless times having a 1cm scratch that nobody would ever notice but i would stare at all day and obsess over. Even when having sex i would close my eyes and see this scratch. It basically controlled me.

I did the same thing but it was on the trim in front of passenger seat, so I just spraied them, including that radio trim.

what did you use - sand paper, primer and then acrylic or ?

You would be better to Vinyl wrap that rather than the pain in the bum to prep for paint I would think.

oh jesus, please don't paint it blue like the monstrosity posted above. Personally I'd happily pay to replace scratched trim pieces if they annoyed me to the point of considering painting/wrapping.

I try to wrap the red piece at first, but the air vent is too hard to do perfectly. but it will be easier for radio trim.
I used 400 then 1200 to prep the surface, then I used SEM flexible coating, it's an all in one plastic paint.

i cant justify 120 odd for new part with postage... looks like il carbon fibre wrap it... something like this 3D Carbon Fiber Vinyl Film Roll Diagonal Sheet Car Sticker Phone Laptop Wrap DIY | eBay pain in the ass...coz its in a shit spot that stands out like a pair of hairy dog testicles LOL now il have to fuk around with wrap... moved boost guage onto steering wheel column..at least that looks good :/
