Default Clay bar & polishing

guys i need to give my paintjob some love. it's gonna need a claybar for the grease n rubber caked on plus probably a polish for the odd swirl mark etc.

i use mostly autoglym stuff.

question is what order do i do this in?

ie. wash, chamois dry, clay bar, polish, wax? that sound right? or polish before clay bar?

Clay bar is like a light compound designed to flatten paint 'it adds no shine', so you will need to do this before adding any polishes.

There's no need to chamois the car completely dry before using clay bar as you'll need the surface to be a little moist; alternately you can use it with a water spray bottle.

I use a quick detailer as the wetting agent when I clay bar my car. It seems to work really well and adds a shine and an extra layer of protection.

These things are pretty cool for removing road grime and the like. I spray the car and let it sit for 15 minutes or so and then rinse it off.

Correct order, you could use a sealant instead of wax as well and I would recommend trying a clay bar lube like dodo juice born slippy or mint lube. You can find all the stuff here, as well as snow foam stuff JTR Auto Care - The next level of Premium Auto Care

+1 for Snow foam lances, removes/loosen's up the dirt and grime reducing the chance of scratches and swirls while washing. Im using Mint snow foam at the moment.

Agree with the quick detailer and clay. Easy to use, leaves paint silky smooth and looks great afterwards.
