I've got a Clarion APX400.4 I'm reusing from my last car. Pretty old model now but still works like a charm.

I'm only running some entry level Pioneer TS-A's (60W RMS components (front) and 50W RMS coaxials (running from the HU as rear fill) ) so don't need a heap of power.

The sub is a Rockford Fosgate in a ported box (not sure on model or spec - was given to me by a friend after he blew up my last sub ).

This amp ran this sub and a mid level set of Clarion splits in my last car with no problems so hopefully should be up for the challenge again.

Yea power is overrated ... That's why i have a 500W rated amp going into a 30W rms rated OEM sub.

Too much power is easy to hear at high volumes levels ... Too little leads to clipping which is almost impossible to hear easily and kills tweeters and drivers.

Personally I never buy major components of any type of audio or electrical goods online unless it is a seriously stupid saving. Buying local allows for a much quicker, easier, pain and postage free warranty claim if anything goes wrong. Add to that you also have the expertise of your local audio shop to fall back on when and if you have any problems with any part of your system.

Go to Westside Sound & Image in Cannington and ask to speak to Fabian. Tell him Craig sent you, he'll sort you out with a good price

Good old Fabian ... Legend at keeping car based audio types happy.

I am also to upgrade my stock sound systen that came with my MY13 WRX. Currently I have the SAT NAV touch screen deck that came with the premium package. How 'BAD' are these deck? I mainly looking to get an amp and a sub. Will this deck be able to give good sound output?

You guys in the know think this would be a decent upgrade over the stock (non-screen) deck?

If so who would be the best person to install it, or could I manage it myself?

Wouldn't be too hard to do and you can purchase the wiring loom adapter for aftermarket head units/steering wheel controls.

Those little generic cameras look crap and I don't like using them, there is a camera with a Sony CCD sensor that replaces one of the rear lights above the license plate.
You will need to get a replacement LED light for the other license plate light, otherwise the colours won't look the same at night.

Watched the video listed in the Ebay advertisement, I find it funny that they call a hard wired microphone a bluetooth microphone...

You asked about sound quality. They're rubbish.
In regards to Sat Nav, don't know, don't care.
