Advice taken. Gonna ditch the current HU aswell and get a better one along with the amps and subs. Any suggestions?

No use putting a sub or two in unless you sound deaden at least the boot and front doors or it'll sound like ass.
Plus cables, plus labour, plus fuses etc etc etc

$2k will get you front/rear speakers, amp, sub, wiring and install without much issue.

I paid around that for my setup which included a Alpine PDX V9 amp, Alpine Single DIN CDE-148EBT, Morel 2-Way fronts, Morel something rears, and a decent sub.

This was through in Westside in Morley who were easy to talk to and deal with.
