Default Front speaker fitting??

hello everyone

im thinking about moving the 6 1/2" speakers ive got in the back to the front doors and was just wondering, what is the best way to install the speakers into the door? will they fit in behind the cover bit where the existing speakers are? any info on what people have done or what i should do would be appreciated, also pics would be cool as well.
the speakers ive got, that i want to put in the front are alpine s type ones, and ive got a my98 wrx if any of that info will help you suggest what i should do.

thanks
Justin

Some angled mdf spacers will do the trick!

All depends on how deep the speakers are, I had Alpine DD Drive 6 1/2 inch splits in the factory positions, with the tweeters hot glued in place near the door handle..... under the mesh bit.

You'll need to run a spacer. I recent installed a pair of MB Quartz into the front of a MY01 WRX. A bit of dicking around was required, and the inside of the door needed to be slightly modified in order to fit the crossover nice and flush.

Apart from that, off the top of my head, an 18mm spacer was used and it just clears the window and door.

Bear in mind with was on a GD WRX, not a GC. Not too sure about the GC's.
