Going to be a push bro, id go similar spec but in 17's will also save you a fortune in rubber costs. I had 18x8.5 +45 with 235/40 rubber with approx' -3 on the front and -2 on the back mind you my guards were rolled but i wore out the inner guards in the front and the back scrubbed every so slightly at the track.

Im pretty sure youre planning on tracking it with the new rims and i know Andy runs 17x9 advan rs on his pig for the track and it still looks good but gives him the clearance for the wider rim. Plus itll save you money and weight so really its win win

LMGT2's ?
sorry missed your reply, as you prolly saw on FB they're work kiwami ultimates, increased the rear camber a bit so the top of the rim is just flush, had a cop behind me follow me through joondalup last night & was shitting myself, didnt pull me over though

i also picked up some BBS RG-R's included in the sale deal from the evo

Thats strange as i am running 18x8.5 +43 with a 235/45 and have zero rubbing ever. Your car must have been alot lower than mine.

18x8.5 +43
GD Chassis - Rubbed in the back with a 225/40/18 when throwing into corners. Seemed OK up front.

Lowered it more and rubbed the liners out of the guards and continue to do so. Need to raise the front up 5mm in mine. The right side seems to be a lot more of an issue than the left for some reason.

Back is fine now though once rolled and not too low.

Fek, those works looks so good Chris

Oh talking like barely noticable rub on the rear alone at fulltilt at barbs, would have barely taken off a mm. Just look up the cost of rubber 17' vs 18' and it may sway your mind especially if eventually you want to run a tyre like a yoko a050. Um mine wasnt slammed it was just set to a good practical height by John, i never queried it

Looking to upgrade rims and tyre for the WRX, at the moment I have my eyes on
- Rays Gram Lights 57Xtreme
- Work Kiwami Ultimate
- Enkei RPF1

Planning to get 18 x 8.5 or 18 x 9.5 (undecided). Anyone know of any sales or other Australian distributor apart from VisionR that might have the wheels mentioned above?

I bought my RPF1's from here: ENKEI RPF1

They say they are the cheapest in Australia and if you find cheaper to contact them and they will beat it.

Not sure about the Rays or Works as I haven't looked into them myself.
