Default Question about LC on Ecutek

Found out last night my car LC enabled (didnt know it was turned on)

anyway, its set at 5500 which makes launching impossible

who else has LC enabled? I was thinking about setting it at 7500 (where i usually launch at)
or should i turn it off?

what are its real benefits regarding to boost/revs ?

would i need a complete retune or is it just a parameter enable/disable ?

Dont bother with launch control imo, just slowed the rex down, whether it was set at 4k or 6k, didnt work

But people like Jan will tell you a very different story

but if it can hod boost at 7500 rpm then thats a good thing right? it deactivates after it senses your moving.

to be able to hold ur foot the floor and know it wont go over 7500 seems very lucrative

car won't rev past 5500rpm (in Todes case) when standing still.

Mine (Verso, not Ecutek) is set at 6000rpm (building 0.6bar I think) and works a treat, 1.81 60ft times on a heavy GD with big 18" wheels/tyres is pretty good IMO.

Clutch in - throttle 100% - the revs stop and bounce @ the set rpm limit (say 5500)

You just need to tweak it a bit - if you hold it for 2-3 seconds before release it'll hook-up.

Mine's set @ 5500 after trying various rev ranges between 3500-5500. If you data log it, you can see the graphs and which works best in terms of rev drop, boost rate, etc.

Disable it Tode!!!

Better off without it, I constantly am around the 1.8 60ft's with my best being 1.75.

Learn how to launch it. Launch control is CHEATING!

i know how to launch it without it, but since somehow it got enabled - i wouldnt mind making the most of it.

seems pretty good u dont have to watch ur rev tacho and foot when u know it will sit at 7500 and wont go over

but can u genearte more bost without it or is it the same?

LC at 5500.. i dunno how u can do that hahaha

Tode i had LC setup on the tek3 (the ecu u have now) that is why u have that option in ur car. I turned it off as it was set high enough and there couldnt make enough boost off the line.

I rekon if u set it higher then it may be easier to get off the line without bogging down, however if u set it too high then u may get too much wheelspin..
