thats cheap! eBay kits go for around the same price.

Might pay to list colour temps and bulb types available Mao.. ie: H4 -4300k temp etc etc

mao 16-05-2011 08:55 PM

Thanks for the note. Will edit with part numbers and description.

Will get some info with photos between real and copies next week when I get back from myu trip. By the way, non genuine philips retailers will not be able to do the canbus protocol systems on the late model cars like Porsche, Benz and BMW. An error code will emerge.

Thanks for the globes Mao. Good price & good service.

mao 18-06-2011 09:53 PM

No probs, you r too kind.

One more thing I forgot to mention, a lot of aftermarket kits come with AMP connectors for the globe to ballast. The genuine Philips globes I sold you were KET style type connectors. Should you have a problem, just bring your old globe in and we will cut and solder the connectors to suit.

Have a great weekend.

Giddyup 19-06-2011 08:05 AM

Jeez, they are some good prices. I bought some HID's for my last MY00 and they worked a treat. I'll definitely be looking at getting some more for the version 6.
Good work Mao.

Care and maintenance of Philips HID system.

Care and maintenance of Philips HID system:

1) When turning on the Philips HID system, always leave lights on for more than 3 minutes. This allows the capacitor in the ballast to charge up properly and thus will increase the lifespan of your hid system.

2) Always keep ballasts away from areas that will expose them to water and unnecessary moisture. Although Philips ballasts are water-resistant, keeping them in a dry area will increase their lifeline.

3) Always keep ballasts away from heat. Do not mount them near the abs motor, radiator, exhaust manifold and turbo.

4) Installation of globes with the exception of 9005 and 9006 should be done with the supplied seal fitted. This prevents moisture from getting into the headlights and onto the globe, thereby causing damage to both the globe and headlight lens itself.

re: 2001 Bugeye (using Philips Ballasts) JDM STi HID headlight conversion

Guys, we have managed to intergrate our Philips ballast with the stock JDM STi headlights and factory D2S globes.

Also we can fit the JDM headlights using the standard H4 harness.
In doing this, we are using back the factory bugeye harness, relays and fuses without requiring any further parts.

Below are pics of todays job we did on a P.WRX bugeye wrx:

mao 01-08-2011 08:48 PM

Hi yas,

Ask anything you want. It is part of my job.

Yes would be able to get you the extreme vision globes, will chk it up with philips Australia in the next few days. Havnt stocked any of that before.

Be leaving for Japan on Wednesday for a week and we are getting the 4-poster installed tmr, so might be a little bz tmr, but hey, just drop in and will fine some time for a chat.

red dragon2002 02-08-2011 09:23 AM

any reason for not stocking them not popular or something? it was just sought of a suggestion + i think poeple on here have used them before and said that they were good. i know hid's are much better but just the cost factor as these globes are not even $100. then again hid will last longer ect so i will have to do some thinking and research :)

thank you for helping

Polarg M4 Park lights. These are produced by Nissei Industries in Japan and are rated at 5000k. These are Canbus compatible and suitable for all Subaru models. As usual, these are made in Japan and top quality.

Can you supply/install HID's to a set of Hella Rally 2000's? Can send price via PM if you like.

If so, may have multiple sets ready to go

hi mate, do you have t10 smd bulbs for clusters? cheers

SupaFly 15-08-2011 02:16 AM

Hey Mao,

What would it cost for you to install the Parker LED, Interior LED, and Phillips h4 (i think) HID KIT into my car while its there? :)

Red theme in mind :P not sure if any HID's/Led's come with that sort of colour/temp though?

Also is it okay to install HID's into my stock reflective bug eye's? or is it worth buying the sti projector style ones?

Thanks Mate,
Matt

Interior Lights used -- Polarg Canbus LED lights so as not to trigger any error light (note the Canbus chip on the circuit board) Sorry for the poor pics will update ASAP:

Rear License Plate lights was a bit troublesome as the boot carpet had to be removed to chg the globes on the BL Legacy:

Product used was Polarg LED:
