That was previously tuned by ASG? The new tune is without any other associated mods from previous tune?

Thanks to Mao, he spent the whole day yesterday and the day before installing HKS EVC-S and tuning my car. very good service.
it dynoed to 180 hp, not sure whether it's good or still bad. but it definitely feels a lot more better that it used to. |

Hi Adi,
Glad to hear that the car is doing well. You will need an intake, bigger intercooler, fuel pump and larger turbo to upgrade the breathing of the EJ20. Fresh plugs and a throttle clean will also be recommended. Although the EJ20 IMO is a very tough motor, but bear in mind that the engine has done close to 200,000km, so mods need to be planned carefully. This bugeye came in with a basic 3" custom mild steel exhaust system. Rest of car is stock. Odo was at 191,000km. We installed the HKS EVC-S and did a flash tune, quickly restoring the lost power on this vehicle. Boost was spiked it to 1.1bar at 4500rpm, reducing it to 0.9bar after that for safety reasons. Vehicle made 138hp before the EVC-S and tune. Safe tune made 40hp gain ATW to 184hp with a massive 50% Torque gained. Lack of airflow and low boost made it difficult to smoothen out the graphs fully, but Torque and Power were reinstated to this bugeye. Just dyno tuned a Power FC on a P.WRX member's FD RX-7 from LF Performance.
Rotaries are a totally different ball game. Evolution R is fully trained to service,modify and tune your rotary. I have been trained by HKS Yuji Kaibara, while Warick had been attached to Petronas Race team and LF Performance couple of years back to look after their RX-7s. As there were still some cooling issues, we have not pushed this baby above 0.9bar. We will be rectifying the cooling system after consultation with HKS Japan and tune it to 1.5bar further on. Big thanks to Mao and the guys for assisting with the Astra's boost control when i was only booked for a Dyno run.
Makes life much easier dealing with a good workshop who knows what they're doing and are always helpful.
