Yeah i think it was just bad timing....first stop was too close to the first safety car for another stop....

Fukn hate seeing Vettel win though

Also anyone else think that McLaren should have had Button on a 2-stop strategy? After Hamilton and Vettel pitted for their first stops he was 20+ seconds ahead with tyres that didn't seem too bad. So even if he was losing 1.5-2sec a lap, he should still have had another 10 laps at least out in front, hence putting him in pole-position for the rest of the race; especially considering there is always a safety car at Singapore..?? Maybe I'm missing something here but thought that would have been a better strategy for him.
Glad to see Ricci racing so well yet again, great scrap with Massa and Webber near the end there, really good fair defending on his behalf

call me a cynic but being a follower of F1 for a decade plus, i see it as a drama movie when the occasional racing breaks out.

heaps of calls made by the teams that make you wonder, but in the end they have the data in front of them and we dont so stuff like JBs does make you wonder what the hell they were thinking. must say though apart from Lewis retirement, Mclaren are starting to dominate on tracks red bull used to and not just because they are a top end car, singapore proved they are quick as well through the twisty bits/ high speed corners. which is historically RB territory.

RB are still trying to emulate EBD more still than most of the other teams it seems. granted the were king of EBD in 2010 and 2011. they need to accept its dead and have a paradigm shift in the way of aero and come up with a new package. time for Newey to start earning his money..its no longer 2010/11.

Webber also lost 10th place due to a 20sec penalty. So no points again.

Problem is it wouldnt have been 1.5 seconds a lap, the difference after the first stops - fresh rubber were in the 1.55's, guys on worn rubber were into the 1.58/9's and Perez did a 2.01 before the pitted him.

Ah that clears things up a bit! Wish we had the same viewing options as the guys in the UK; i.e- in-car footage, real-time lap data etc etc. At least now we can actually watch races live I guess lol

Yeh but can't be assed having laptop open at the same time I probably should start using it though cos not knowing why they use certain strategies gives me the shits, just like in this Button case!
Anyway, moving on with things -> here's hoping the Japanese GP doesn't involve any retirements of the front-runners (apart from Vettel...), would be great to have a race where they are all battling it out until the end
