His whole attitude and body language has changed from pro mclaren to .....how many more races left. Remember, its not what he says but how he says it.

I rate lewis as a driver but simply between car failures & non podium finishes consistantly have proven to be his downfall this season.
Quickest this season at times yes, but at most others, a blip on a radar.

Oh you mean in Germany when he got debris on the tyre after the start crash, ripped a car up, and damaged the floor? So by the time he got out he was a lap down with a busted car? And guess what, he retired in that race anyway!

Ill help you break it down

AUS
3 Podium and Pole
MAL
3 Podium and Pole
CHN
3 Podium
BHR
8 McLaren botched both his stop, combined cost him 19 seconds. He was 14 seconds off 3rd end of race.
ESP
8 McLaren didnt fuel the car right - Pole, has to start last, the only driver to do 2 stops, including the last 25 odd laps to get to 8th.
MON
5 Pit stop issues drop him from the third he probably would of got.
CAN
1 Wins
EUR
19 3rd, gets punted by Pastor with 2 laps to go.
GBR
8 All that the car had, Jenson 10th.
GER
Ret - First lap puncture, tyre tore floor up, retired as car wasnt stable to run
HUN
1 Wins
BEL
Ret - Grosjean ten pin bowls the leaders into T1
ITA
1 - Dominant weekend
SIN
Ret - Gearbox breaks while leading, Pole
JPN
5 - Drives to 5th with a broken car
KOR
10 - Broken car, and carries carpet to 10th

No idea what season you have been watching to be honest?

Russ - agree. Hence why I hate Abi Dabi Doooobai and Bahrain. India, Korea and COTA are all the same too.

Has to be a way to improve safety but also punish mistakes.

The same season as you its just you didnt read what i wrote....

I guess the part where i said " His lack of podium fi- nishes & Car failures" you missed??
10 Non Podiums or DNF's in a season hurts your chances of winning a WDC yes?

like i said before and ill say it again. Lewis has talent, just this year wasnt/hasnt turned out to be his. as for the Mclaren stuff, thats just the way i see him.

edit: Also consistancy has been lacking for whatever reason - "Shit car, Unicorns, being Pastored" apart from the first 3 races this season - he hasnt finished on the podium 3 times in a row.

Pretty much all through no fault of his own though. Getting taken out, crappy car, stupid astro turf, etc. I would be pretty emo too if it was me! Especially after leading races and the engine or gearbox crapping out.

Dave, you said he was a quitter and sooking.

His comment that his title is over is a statement, he was actually pretty ok with it when he spoke to sky and bbc post race.

The statement non consistent podium finishers is a negative spin on factors outside his control.

Quite honestly, he has driven brilliantly all season. I would be gutted too had I been on the ball behind the wheel, given a great car, and then watched it disappear through fuckups that arnt his fault. And you know what? All driver sook. Its just that when you are at the top of the pile you get looked at 10 times closer. Though I will admit his 2011 season was a mess. God knows what was going on. Despite that, he still won as many races as Jenson, and still smashed him in qualifying.

And people wonder why he is going to Merc. He may do worse there in 2013, but its a fresh start. All I will say on that is that McLaren and going to find out very quickly how much he is missed.

Perez? Like the kid but meh, looks after tyres in a car that looks after tyres. He has still been smashed by Kobi in quali and normal pace. Two slow qualifiers next year... it will hurt them all season long. Refer to above comment - he wont have anywhere to hide next year if he isnt on the pace. Easier in a midfield team where a podium is a stunning result.

Lewis should just bang Nicole all day, all night and only pop out for air when qualifying and race starts. #stayofftwittertooyousook

would be keen to see what happens in new machinery for Hammy.

i think between him and Alonso, they are the most emotional and vocal when things go awry and observed in the car. is possibly why they werent the best paring back in the day. however Kimis recent "give me the power" outburst recently was quite out of the blue for the iceman. surely he is due for a P1 soon.

Good on Dan for finishing in the points again. I hope this time next year Dan is fininshing inthe top 5 and can give our Webber a break to move to another team as a Number 1 driver.

I must say, Vettel does know how to crack a SAD!!!
^^lol. I very much doubt that is the reason for lack of chat, agree with the rest of your post though

Agree with this list, although not sure exactly where Vettel would fit in the fastest outright category...he is definitely very talented but I'd have to see how he went in the Torro Rosso (I.e.- crapper car) before I make a proper judgement call on that. Case in point is the first third of this year when Webber was just as quick in the same car before all the upgrades arrived.
I personally think Alonso is (atm at least) easily the leading driver in regards to getting the most out of his car/situations he finds himself in. A lot of this comes down to mentality I reckon, he seems very aware of what he and the car are capable of and doesn't put himself in too many compromising situations.
I think once Hamilton adds a bit more of this to his skill-set he will definitely be right up there in the championship again. For my mind he still is a bit impatient with some of his overtaking attempts...although in saying that he is the most entertaining to watch and he does pull off A LOT of overtakes I wouldn't have though possible lol As for the sooking, I think he has actually been alright this year, sure he has sooked some times but they all do (apart from Ricci ) and during the races you can definitely tell he is still trying to achieve his maximum.

Anyway that is my 2c and sorry for the tl;dr.
Looking forward to the final few races!!
