Default Michael Schumacher in coma after suffering brain haemorrhage in skiing accident

Quote:
FORMULA 1 legend Michael Schumacher is in a critical condition in a French hospital with a brain haemorrhage after a skiing accident.
The 44-year-old German was "suffering a serious brain trauma with coma on his arrival, which required an immediate neurosurgical operation," the hospital in the southeast French city of Grenoble said in a statement.
"He remains in a critical condition."

That is reporting at its worse, I don't even. That's just pure speculation, as is any diagnosis that happens to exist right now on the media. I hate this sensationalist bullshit media outlets cash in on when stuff like this hapens.

Lack of updates in Michael Schumacher

We've not heard anything new regarding his condition and doctors have no immediate plans to bring him out of his coma because his injuries are too severe, but they are unable to tell how much damage has been done to his brain at this point.

Very sad, I do hope he pulls up.

I've not said anything as yet but I work in the field of Acquired Brain Injury rehabilitation and can say that the Michael Schumacher we all knew and loved is gone. Should he wake from the coma he will more than likely require 24/7 care for the rest of his life. He will never recover, it is absolutely impossible for the brain to 100% heal itself once damage has been done. This is a tragic accident and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

Simple facts are...There are no real facts.
All we really know for sure is that he has head trauma and in an induced coma.
Everything else is media speculation and quite rightly the family want their privacy.

A true testement to the stature of a man when the world waits and hopes for his recovery though.
