Default Problem with Bit Torrent

I've had this for a while now and I've tried reinstalling and I've upgraded to the latest client. Basically i run Bit torrrent and it may run fine for a few hours and then basically my link goes down. Rebooting the router fixes it, but I want to run it over night. I've used it on both my d/t and laptop so it's not an issue with the PCs. Anyone experienced this before, should I use another client?

I'm definately no pro, but give port forwarding a shot. I had similar issues and this seemed to fix it.

What bit torrent client? utorrent is the win for clients.

Also it sounds like the torrents are flooding your modem (having thousands of connections will cause a lot of modems to fail requiring a reboot). Do a google search of your modem type and torrent client and see if you can limit the amount of connections to a number that won't kill it.

Ok cool. Thanks. So u don't have any problems with utorrent and a high number of connections? Or do you limit it?

On my old modem I had to limit it, on newer ones they have inbuilt stuff to limit it.
