ha vista IS noob. i mean, why would microsoft release an OS with so many compatibility issues and hardware requirements?
it also has stuff all good features that justify spending another few hundred if you already have xp - which works fine! vista was mainly just a facelift and a money grab; why do you think MS are releasing another OS, when vista didnt come out that long ago... also anyone who has spent time configuring custom networks etc, will know what i mean when i say it has been dumbed down... which seems to be happening with every OS release... windows media centre edition was also a joke... another waste of $$$... lets hope MS dont stuff up this next release... and finish it b4 they release.. i hear they are taking away all the performance-hindering visual effects of menu's etc, so at least theyre on the right track! but look at how popular mac/linux etc are getting... MS is loosing its grip! |

I love how narrow minded everyone is with the 'micro$soft' stuff.
Vista is new, why are they releasing a new one? Linux/OSX > Windows... So how many different linux/osx versions have been released in the last 8 to 10 years. XP still works fine. So does DOS, why not still run that? Oh that's right it is old and computing is progressing every year. Vista has all these hardware requirements and compatability issues. Tried running linux/osx on anything but the supported hardware? This is a mainstream OS for the majority of computer users out there. It needs to run on a huge array of hardware types and then people bitch and moan that their 10 year old computer can't run the newest operating system as quick as XP (an OS designed to run on their hardware). There is no gun to your head telling you what OS to use. Want the latest and greatest, expect some bugs/teething issues. Want something stable that just works for your needs, stick to an older version.
