Ok. I imagine I am in the same position as a lot of people in that I have held off buying a PS3 until GT5 is released.

I have a wii and a xbox360 but I only bought the xbox becuase I had given up waiting for GT5.

So basically has anyone seen or heard of any package deals with a PS3 and GT5 yet? I have been keeping an eye open but nothing yet.

I hate my set top box so I want to replace that with Play TV at the same time. I figure at a minimum I will need the following:

PS3 console
GT5 game
Blue Ray remote
Play TV
Additional controller

I only ever used the wheel for the xbox once so I probably wont worry about a g27.

When I bought my home theatre set up I got an extra hdmi cable so that is all under control.

So my question is:

1) has anyone seen any deals that include most of the above?
2) is it best jut to walk into JB on the day of release and hook myself up?

Also I have no intention of playing online.

No PS3 GT5 Deals yet - Think i mentioned, I have pre-ordered GT5 and don't even own a PS3 either.

Think i will end up buying a PS3 Slim 120Gb off Ebay for 380ish. Better than $460 or whatever JB have them for at the moment, doubt they will come down much.

Spoke to a dude in JB the other day - Alledgedly they sell the PS3's for $6 more than they buy them for. All the coin is in the accessories.

So, buy everything from a good deal/reputable seller on Ebay and safe yourself hundreds, basically.

Someone at work got a PS3 Wireless controller from Ebay today for 30 odd dollars, compared to 80ish @ JB - Like i said, all the profits for are in the accessories. I was going to buy a PS3 and an 360Slim at the same time from JB, they couldn't even cut me a deal on those two combined.

Brendon you can have my blue ray remote for PS3 (4 pack JD+cola) used like once.

I also have some sort of ps3 force feedback wheel + pedals which i got for my birthday and never used it. If anyone wants it for their gt5 let me know

New toy has arrived, 1/4 mile in 11.2 sec and only 114hp!

Also, how long since the PS3 was last updated, price dropped? i.e. are they going to do the usual and a week after GT5 comes out they will release a new spec and drop the price $100.

Also what is the general consensus on Playstation move?

Buy the smallest HDD PS3 you can find and then just put a 500gb 2.5" SATA drive in it, which you can get for $78 dollars at MSY Computers.

Ive been fiending for this game since I got my ps3 on release day. Preety much given up on worrying when its going to come out since the release has been pushed back so many times. A good chunk of my life will be lost when this comes out

I dont really watch a lot of tv so I am sure that the 250gb one will be fine.

Although I will no doubt bash this game for a while when it comes out I am not in the business of saving replays etc and when I get bored it will just sit there until GT6 comes out.

The harddrive swap is easy as, I swapped my 80 for a 500 in about 2 minutes, the is only 1 screw and no cables or anything to swap over
