note - its usually F8 on most systems to pop up boot device options on boot

Old version of vista that was on there was corrupted when i got it, Was not loading explorer.exe when windows logged in.Needed to format it so i went through DOS format c: ect because even then it was not letting me boot from the CD. Stupid laptop shut off half way through format because of dead battery. Now its stuck without a OS and not booting! =( I dont know what next to do.

I really dont care what version of windows i get running, as long as it boots from the CD and i can install it! lol

Hrm, i was starting to think that aswell.. but it sounds like it spins the cd and trys to read it..
