Default Windows 7 Network issues !!

Ok for the most part the transition has been smooth
I ended up installing windows 7 on all of my pcs becuase
networking was just to hard with vista to win7. Good on ya microsoft.

anyway only thing i have problem with at the moment is my mrs dell machine.

when windows first starts up there is no internet connection. and it detects two networks home and public.

If i disable the network adaptor and then click on the cross and get windows to detect the connection problem it detects the lan card is disabled it reenables it and then only have one network and internet works fine.

Why is this happening any ideas i have attached two images of before and after doing thr trick to make it work.
thanks

I had this issue on Windows 7 due to iTunes.

This is the work around if it is the same issue:

yes. windows wont provide you with sufficient drivers.

have a look at the manufacturer of your network card and get it straight from their website eg. realtek, marvell, broadcom etc.

yeah true but might as well set static's if they are desktop machines. turn off windows firewall/3rd party firewalls. Start from the bottom and work your way up.
