Sorry it just reminds me of that ridiculous figure Mazda quoted when they released the 3 MPS.
Yeh that it was faster than a Porsche between 80 and 100........WTF

IMO i think a WRX would beat a Z everytime. the thing you have to remember is, that unless a rex know he's in a drag, he wont try to take off quick so by the time he realises he is its to late. best way to find out, take it to the drags where everyone knows what they are there for and then you will see.

i remember i raced like a late 90's M3 (it may have had some mods, definitely a different zorst). at the first set of lights he took me. but at the second set of lights we were both revving and to put it nicely by the time we had started going thru second gear i already had at least 2 car lengths.

moral to the story.....if a rex knows hes racing then you'll have a better chance of knowing if your car can beat him. i think that goes for every turbo car tho.

Thats nice, but im talking from experience. The person i dragged knew how to drive and it wasnt a 1 off drag. Stock for Stock a 350z should take a wrx.

I now own a sti, so its not like im biased and talking shit.

Yeh i'd have my money on a standard wrx gettin the chop (and u cant compare a modded car against a std car).

The z's are fairly quick, maybe first couple of gears the rex would have it, but by 4th, rex would be be behind i reckon.

Yeah the Z is pretty strong in 3rd upwards.I guess they are different cars really, one is an AWD 2l turbo and the other RWD 3.5 n/a so they are both quick cars but quick in different ways. The 350Z gets similar track times to the Sti (for example on top gear), but I guess this is very dependant on the track and conditions.

i'd imiagine the 350 would be in with a good chance, off boost that 3.5L V6 is definately going to be quicker than a 2L, on boost and higher up the rev range I'd imagine the wrx would do its catching up. a MY01 wrx tho is the heaviest and slowest of the wrx family

Who cares if the rex is slightly faster..... unless the rex does a launch i rekon it would be pretty even stock for stock to 100 and once on the freeway I think the 350 would have more legs. Plus it looks nicer usually if its black.
