I've been on the roads this weekend too, in the rain. Had a few scares myself even traveling under the speed limit.

R.I.P Suresh and R.I.P to the ex [EYEZ].
That was my old car guys and the guy was a friend of a friend so I feel pretty shit about it at the moment. He's only had the car for 4 months and I only saw him last weekend. My mate has spoken to the guy who was the passenger in the fron seat and his girlfriend who was in the back ... apparently they were overtaking a taxi (don't know what speed, but he was accelarating) and he just lost control slid up on to the kerb, across the grass verge went THROUGH the telegraph pole and then hit a tree. The car also rolled 3 times in that aswell. Apparently the guy in the passenger seat was unconcious, his girlfriend was pinned in the back but not seriously hurt and the driver was on top off her, and unfortunately he had already passed away. He must've been travelling to snap the telegraph pole and to cause that kind of damage to the car. Luckily the 2 passengers have escaped with only minor cuts and bruises ... 2 VERY lucky people.

I can tell you this spot is dangerous because of the road allowing for build up of water when we have hard rains. It is just around the corner from my house and I have seen all sorts of shit happen there. RIP and go easy around there all of you!

this is just horrible RIP
i feel sorry for everyone involved esp the poor gf who had her dead bf on top of her and couldnt do anything to help him. shes and the other guy in the car are going to be very emotionally scarred for a very long time. the speed the car is travelling doesnt mean shit to an extent. i hit a skippy @ just under 30km/h. http://r31.smacktards.org/Jazzie/Jaz...net%20open.jpg http://r31.smacktards.org/Jazzie/JazVSRoo/front01.jpg we cut the front end off my TRX with tin snips... thats how thin the metal was. there are so many factors. I also travel down this road every single day and it is always very slippery there.. and have you seen the curbs there? or the gutters for that matter. quite harsh. all he had to do was hit one at the wrong angle and it would send him flying. taxi's in our area have a tendancy to sit on like 50km in the 60 section and cant drive for shit. if speeding was a factor the inspector wouldnt have said anything like this.. "Insp. John Gibson said although the death was a tragedy, it was lucky wild weather did not cause even more carnage on the roads last night." blamed mostly on the weather, this is the most rain we have recieved in ages. so all the oils would be fresh on the road.. if it was speed related they wouldnt be so sympathetic towards it. I know if he were my friend or family member i would be devastated that people bagged him out without even thinking about how his friends/family feel or any of the facts. regardless, someone lost there life and all anyone can do is point the finger and bag them out. harsh. RIP Suresh. Condolences to the friends and family related to all 3 of the people involved in the crash. -Jaz Last edited by [JAZZIE]; 25-06-2007 at 12:23 PM. |
