yeah im going to put the silencer on and tweak the ecu... should be all good i think. The pod filter is securly attached to the turbo and as its aluminum dosent flex much at all..

Get the exhaust sorted, make sure it's nice and quiet then go to the pits and whinge like hell about how much of a prick the copper was that gave you the ticket. Inspectors absolutely hate how the cops hand out yellow stickers to cars that are basically well looked after road cars.

Also make sure all the basics of the car is working 100%. Indicators, lights, reverse lights, wipers and washers, no play in your wheel bearings, no oil leaks etc etc. Basically make sure the car is road worthy, dont give them an excuse to knock you back because of something silly. They will give your car a thorough going over.

Give it a good clean, show that you take pride in your ride.

My only advice to save a lot of mucking around is to go to an approved inspection centre rather than the DPI pits.....the approved inspection centres will only look at what's been written on the work order and nothing else and chances are they may not even have a db meter.

I had all sorts of headaches with my 99WRX years back when I had it.....every yellow I got came off just as fast with no probs.

I used a place in Rockingham on Dixon Rd but this was a few years back now but I had no dramas every time....not sure if they have become more strict now but its worth a go only cause when you go to the DPI they will not only look at what's on the work order but they will also go through the whole car looking for stuff.

Tino, Liberty got regoed after a full tech inspection at East Perth with a silencer. Shouldnt be an issue.

The funny thing is i put my silencer in and the car sounds louder??? As its reveberating off the inside pipe??
