STI maybe but very much doubt it. Subaru is to conservative and remember they have to provide Warranty. I reckon the WRX will be close to current ( 170 ish ) and the STI maybe 220.

Remember they also can't throw all their chips on the table in a hit if they go 220 now then they can go 225 next year and 230 the year after. It gives them options. If they go straight for 250 they will be stufed for trying to convince people to change over to a newer one.

They have the 08 wrx in RALPH also and its still 168 and it
also says it will have downgraded brakes.

2pot brakes instead of 4pots, cant see why they would do this???

2008 wrx is the begining of the end of a legend!!!!

Memo from GC8 owners living in the past and scared of any changes?

Im going to cop a lot of flack for that one haha.

Ive owned both GC8's and newer GD's.

In my opinion the newer models excluding the bugeye are still legends and are much better than the GC8's

But seriously i think all wrx's are legendary cult cars (except bugeyes)
and the new 08 just destroyed its continuation of that status for now.

Ps: I still love the GC8's , so for those owners about to blast me
take a couple of deep breaths and let it go as I was just joking

I have May2007 "Wheels" mag with the MY08 WRX on the front cover and the 4 page story with it. They state the MY08 will be due out Mid 2008 and the STI not long after that. They state the STI will match the previous model power and torque.

They also say the MY08 WRX has:
168kW @ 5200rpm
306Nm @ 2800rpm

This is what the Mag says so it could all be lies and most of could all change.
Will just have to all wait and see.
