I find that if you don't put your seatbelt on at all when starting your car, you can exit the car without the hijack mode kicking in.

Had to do it for about the week when the garage door opener had a flat-batt.

I'm pretty sure that will be due to the fact that the anti hijack is triggered by the seatbelt clasp, so if you dont plug the belt in it wont enable the hijack mode.

Ray,
Everyone on here is a bit Paranoid as a few members WRX's have been stolen lately so no one will be keen to give you a lot of info over the internet.
Plus the fact that a well known workshops trailer especially designed for cars with bodykits was stolen about 2 weeks ago and god knows what happened to that.


Your going to have to bite the bullet and go to a dealer for the manual. No two ways around it.
