Where did you take it to get fixed? Purely so we don't go there and get our motors setup like a hand grenade.

the workshop told me they're not to blame. it seems the links feul cut didnt work anf the overboost has melted a piston. the engine was supplied by the workshop but was 2nd hand so it didnt come with a warrenty.

and yeah im seriuosly over it and i will not be keeping the rex. in the last 6 months ive spent over $8g just on maintaining her.

i dont think i have much chance of selling her at the moment. a yellow sticker anf blown engine.

itsno wonder im a heavy drinker.

Ouch - I was almost a victim of that - But Fuel/Boost cut saved my ass big time.

Cut W/G Actuator hose thanks to my STi TMIC.

Obviosly you don't have any gauges to see what it was boosting to.

Its a shame Luke. Such a nice buy eye mate. Good luck with whatever you do with her.

Fuck Luke, sorry to hear

What boost did it hit when it blew the piston?

Surely the workshop would have checked the tune to make sure the boost cut was set correctly, or was it a turbo hose that blew off?
