What about joe public who can't tell the difference between 60kph and 90kph.
I know lots of people who have waved at me to slow down when I have been doing the speed limit, just because im in a car thats louder/sportier than normal.

Imagine how fast the unwashed masses would think the average rex with straight cuts is going "There was this massive whining noise so I think they were doing at least 90! in a 40 zone"

they probably need photographic evidence to charge you, but i guess if they had enough forms about you they would pay you a little visit or monitor you closely ....
