Do some research. There are a few strokers for the 2.5L. i.e. the Axis 2.65L, Crawford 2.65L, Brian Crower 2.71L, etc etc etc.

hhaha i know I was just checking!!

Yeah I wasn't aware of anything more than 2.65, thats what I mean tho you don't leave much room if you go 2.7.

Each to their own though. I would go ej207 or ez30, well that's what I'm doing anyway

AFAIK someone in England does a 2.8l if im not mistaken, apparently not that good though as the bores are getting pretty thin by that stage and they dont rev too well.

If you have enough money pete, you can turn anything into a twin turbo

If your going to build the 2.5 then you DONT need sleeves. Look at my engine. You just need to get the block closed decked and plate deck honed and then it won't ever blow up. I run just under 22psi and 300kw atw. No worries.

Sleeving is only if you are going to run more than 25psi boost on a 2.5 according to perfourmance (who built my short motor and supply the parts for most 2.2L's runnign around including WRX STI's).

I voted for a 2.2L. Fully closed decked very strong but with a few extra CC's to drive a big turbo. Perfect balance between Rev's and ability to run higher boost.

I think im gona go a 2.2 I want something that revs but still has abit of torque and that can support a large turbo, But i already got ej25 number plates from the last motor so that could be a serious mechanical issue (ie removing them )
But 2.5 was a very enjoyable engine to drive on the street. Im so confused right now???

on a little ej you will struggle to run a deuce turbo setup that would produce serious numbers. money is not the limiting factor, however, the small capacity of the engine is. imagine trying to spool up a gt35 on just 1.25lts!
