And just personal experience, with both the powerloving and genuinely nice police officers a calm, polite persona goes a VERY long way....

Sure does. Talking calmly and clearly helps too. I thought i was going to get stickered for my tint or exhaust one night, but the officer ended up talking to me about my car and Evo's.
