those RA-R brakes are porn but that is such a huge caliper for such a small pad! never seen it from that angle before

pete most decent brakes (aftermarket brembo, AP, Alcon etc) have both small and large pistons, the idea that the smaller pistons require less fluid to move and will thereforce push down before the larger pistons, this will give you a more progressive feel to the brakes, unlike equal sized large pistons which will all move at the same time giving a more on-off feel to the brakes

Who really cares too much what they do stock? Very close and in the real world I'd doubt you would notice a difference.

I'm more interested in how each responds to mods....

Not that I'm the least bit interested in buying either as my next car.

Prodrive is a seperate company which is paid by Subaru to do a job.

Mitsi is Mitsi whether it be Japan, England or Aus. We dont get the FQ-430 but we got the Club Spec Evo 9's, which neither Japan nor England got. Still a factory Evo.

With the P1's they had the optional PPP (Prodrive performance pack) which gave it 18" OZ Prodrive P1 rims, Prodrive Alcon brakes and a few other goodies.
