Default Low position seat rail

Was looking through Japanparts.com and came across this. I have trouble with head room in MY05 WRX and now STi when I'm wearing a helmet (I headbutt the roof on the bumps at Collie), so would like to lower the seat.
It will still have to accomodate a shorter driver too.

Anyone used one and does it lower it enough to be worth it? Exploring cheaper options before I just go to MMS and fit a race seat!

Let me know how you go, I have the same issue.

Is there a GC8 version?

Not specifically with that brand but there is a universal Subaru one made by Bride.

Well I want it for Liberty, but considering GC8 stuff bolts in it should be ok.

Id love 20mm lower or maybe even a touch more.

Yeh, it's a buddy club seat, and it sits pretty low.
Andrew, i think your best idea would be to go aftermarket, something like steve has? i think he has a sparco evo? unless you really want to keep the factory seat?

Yes, Sparco EVO but even with the RSR base, Rob had to modify it a fair bit to get it lower and wider...not sure he'd be rapt doing another! Though saying that my EVO seat is a wider variety (which you may not need), so the modifications could be less if you got a narrower one. But if you're reasonably happy with the standard seat, maybe just try the low rails, which would still give KV the option of raising the seat for her requirements.....nothing ventured...

I have something like this in my Spec C, not sure if this brand, but my seat is a lot lower than standard.

It's good as I'm a big bastard (aka Fat) and it gives me plenty of head room.

cheers
