hahah My 03 is exactly the same. From my understanding it's caused by the dust ect on your lights being essentially baked on with the heat from your lights.
There's a few other ways to clean them up. A toothbrush with some toothpaste works quite well, or same thing as the Meg's but made by Mothers.

Some good cutting compound and a good buffer (not a orbital) also dose the trick

I just use polish on mine, its not the cutting type though. McGuiars stage three polish I think. Works like a charm.

Ive used polishes before but it keeps commin back.
has anyone had any luck with something that makes it permently disappear?
