You can get a headlight restoration kit (I found it amongst the adhesives section in supercheap)
Same as this.... http://www.autobarn.net/09135.html It comes with latex gloves, plastic polish and a couple of different graded sheets of wet and dry paper. Worked well to remove the yellow dull haze from mine a year ago - though it has returned. |

Holy Thread Revival!
I have a very slight yellowing on my headlights, just looking to clean it off and shine them up. Looking for opinions based on experience/knowledge etc.. Has anyone used this product: Turtle Wax Headlight Cleaner & Sealant 2 in 1 Would this give a good result compared to the restoration kit?

I used mothers headlight restoration kit. Comes with a piece you attach to a drill. Works absolute wonders. I'll send a pic in a bit.

Josh, just use #600 sand paper and follow by #1200, then plasticX polish. use plastic protectant (non armer all type, no silicone) for uv protection if u want. Cost about $30 all up, can work on 10+ cars. If u want I can give u some plastic X just for ur car.

I dont know if I'd go as low as 600 on plastic headlights. Maybe start at 1000 then 2000. The mothers kit has them included.

No need for sandpaper imho unless they are absolutely farked. The liquid products have a low level abrasive in them plus they are liquid so there is a lot less chance than fucking up your headlights.

I'll get you to check them in person at the cruise, it really isn't bad in daylight, you have to look closely. I was gonna do a dodgy clean using toothpaste but that won't seal or protect after.
I'll take a photo of them, but it's so light camera might not pick it up. using the Perth-WRX mobile app
