best of luck finding a ej22t block, just drop linners in a ej22 na, or drop a set of ej 22 linners in closed deck 2litre rs turbo block, the you have a choice on what crank 1 wishes to use, if you use a 2.5 crank you need to hachine the end of the block for the later cranks are rear thrust.................

your spec block would be perfect. allow 10k all up, clean up the heads, machining etc.

Would be a scorcher if done properly. Go for it. considering the jun 2.2 kit used to be around 10k alone, 4.2k for the tomei kit isnt alot of dough in the grand scheme of things.

Gav, why screw around with all these fancy expensive kits!

Just do what I did and get yourself a 2.5L and some ACL forgies and enjoy the torque goodness! Considering your car is a daily driver I think this is the ideal setup for the cost involved.

Not so. 2.5 stroke requires 2.5 pistons. If you fit a 2.5 crank with 2.0 pistons they will hang out the top of the block by a long way.

i would be inclined to go the competition kit, better yet, get them to build you a complete long motor, derive option with intake and exhaust manifolds

like cosworth, they now have a 81mm crank to take them into 2.6lt territory!

I've heard mixed opinions about these kits. In all honesty, what are the performance gains to be had between a built 2.5L and a 2.6L stroker?

why stuff around with these chook chasers, get a donk from a subi 6 and blow it or a chev 427 isnt bad either............space could be a slight problem in shoe horning these donks in, but what the life without a small challenge, screw the money, theres plenty in that bank you manage, they wouldnt miss a small $100k
