spoke to the manager again today and sent him the quotes. withing the hour had an email back saying that they accept no responsibility. I am going straight to the top of the company. would cost them stuff all to fix out of their yearly income to keep a customer happy. word of mouth is the best way to drive away customers. SO PLEASE DON'T GO TO BOB JANE. the customer service was really bad from the moment i walked in, only reason i stayed was because i needed the tyres so bad, wish i didn't go at all now. oh and also spoke to the council today and they seemed really helpful so i guess thats a slight bonus on the tyre front.

Bob Jane is an old money hungry cunt so getting a dollar out of him is very unlikely.

His sons are no better.

Your screwed.

Not sure how much your repair is but may be worthwhile talking to a lawyer. I'd write asking for copies of all their security tapes for the duration your car was I'm there

Maybe you need lots & lots of people at random times to book in fictitious cars for fictitious tyres, make the fuckers head spin.

in regards to the "damage" at the tyre shop........ until you come up with firm proof, there is noooo point taking it any further, you will not win.

whats firm proof?? you left car with a workshop no panels damaged, you go to pick it up... panel damage.

someone on this forum is getting blasted for complaining about honkey nut damage to his car, with everyone telling him to accept responsibility for his actions, parking under a tree. then here you have people saying "you cant prove the shop damaged your car." so what are you saying? the shops dont need to take responsibility?? gay

firm proof, photos etc... physical evidence.

i am in no way saying it doesn't suck and i'd hate it just as much as this person but...... look at it this way, how is the shop to know the damage wasn't already there? yes, the owner knows it wasn't but the shop doesn't or is not going to admit it anyways. if it goes any further, say lawyers, court etc etc the owner would need to prove that the shop did the damage. the business, especially Bob Jane, would have alot more money behind it to fight and they have alot higher paid lawyers than what joe public will have.

if businesses honoured these sorts of claims by only taking peoples word for it, without proof, do you think they'd survive. No.
