Definitely not...Caltex Vortex 98 is a separate product from both BP and United/Peak...it is made by Caltex themselves. There have been reports of the odd bad batch of Caltex 98.

There is no drama swapping between different 98 brands (assuming they are all actually 98) if your car has a re-flash tune. If you are running an aftermarket ECU (eg Autronic, MoTeC) it may be worth checking the tune between brands just in case...

Their web site doesn't list any WA outlets.

Similarly, my local Peak site doesn't serve 98 either (car runs like a dog on the low grade shite).

Cheers! The Kwinana Peak must have started selling 98 only recently, as they didn't have it about a month ago (still not listed on the Peak web site as having 98 either)

I too was under the impression that Caltex and BP were the same, I know that they are in some eastern states. So I'm really not sure why they would be different over here. However I know when I had the Z in qld we got Shell 100 somewhere, why can't we have that over here?

Soft.

Just run 91 - its cheaper, and cos its less quality, your car will be right on the edge of ping, thus making moar powa!

Win win win

That's odd mate. Mine gets 400km, 420km pushing it. Moderate freeway/ suburban driving. Normal driving. Catback, intake.

Only tried peak 98 once. Didn't notice any difference. Consistency make a difference?
