I'm interested if Alliance would repair for you, I just got them to spray some rims last week (picked them up thursday) and noticed a chip already in them today. What a piece o' shite.

I'm planning on calling them tomorrow to find out what's their stance on this. Will report back because if they say no then obviously everyone here will want to know to stay well away from them

Yep, sounds like a much better idea, lesson learnt.
Considering I haven't even left bitumen and it took less than a week for a flake that's some pretty half arsed workmanship from Alliance.

The worst part is I read this topic while my rims were in getting done, if I'd only seen it sooner.. or been less of a noob and asked

I'm looking at getting my off-white rims powerder coated in a proper white.

The company I am looking at is
B & D Powdercoaters
8/ 61 Buckingham Drv Wangara 6065
(08) 9309 3270

They quoted me $15 a rim for plain white, but chances are you guys will pay a little more because my company puts a lot of work through them.

The guy there recommended i get my rims sand blasted first to get the current paint etc off, and that was going to cost $30 a rim through another company (whos name escapes me but it is written down somewhere, think it was something kooky like 'what a blast')

so all up $180, which i think isnt too bad

i don't know how much they charge but i was told that john hughes panel (ex-skippers) have the right equipment to paint and "bake" wheels. can do the job proper. i think i will have to get my wheels done soon.. will have to price them up...
