be a shame to turn that into a racecar, needs to be in a collection somewhere! however, this is perfect, the best colour in the s202 aswell...and that price is crazy! price reduced from a few weeks ago, you couldn't even come close to replicating that for the money and it would be an ideal starter...it wouldn't take much to convert it into tarmac spec...1100kilos! yeah baby or the other end of the spectrum, http://www.my105.com.au/classified.asp?id=11718
The first one would be no good for doing something like targa tas as 6 speed in a GC8 = restrictor = uber slow compared to the 2 litre "standard" cars. You would also have to drop back to 16" rims which sucks when you are trying to stuff massive brakes under there. The second one is a nice car. having said that it has done a lot more events than it says and has a lot less options that it says. i.e. does not have the STI homologated brakes / driveshafts. Theres a lazy $35k + he forgot to mention. It is also the car that he crashed out with on the last stage of targa west 08. i am sure it has been repaired perfectly but it shits me when things aren't represented for what they really are. Anyone speak Japanse :) I am going to need help if I decide to go ahead. |

Fuck yeah. |
brendon, for 25 grand, that gc8 wouldn't be a bad thrash-around car though, especially for those that want to get into the sport with something already setup for them, targa scenario, well.
tony's car, well, you know as well as i do, crashed car's comeback harder and faster than ever, must be that paper thin sheet metal as there is barely anything left of it! options, you need options....or you could just write a cheque for 200grand and get the latest and greatest factory special racecar by the likes of pbms or mms. it sounds like a lot of money (and it is) but once you start breaking individual parts down and the labour costs, its probably about spot on. if you can slam 200g's down and then go out and risk it at the first turn, your a brave brave man (or rich or stupid or both). |

your best bet is to deal with someone like jws. you stipulate the car model, colour and milage and if one comes up at auction...bid on it. or fancy a trip to japan? ill come with ya! (hide ra-r 6 pots under each arm as carry on baggage) |
