crashed car's comeback harder and faster than ever, must be that paper thin sheet metal as there is barely anything left of it!
Amen!

If you go via japan youll probably need more then someone who speaks japanese - most dealers wont deal with some roundeye emailing them from Australia asking them to sell them and send them a car.

Aaron from rampant is champ - very honest and happy to help if needs be.
Locally theres a couple of guys with access to Jap stuff, but im sure they will want some financial love for their time.

Classic RA

1) If you don't want to spend a lot of money and just want to get into some track days or speed events, beause it will cost you a considerable amount in money and time when you build a good car whether it is a 1999 or a 2008 model STI.

Japanese wholesales have a RA limited STI for only $13000, you could buy that and see if you enjoy motor sport before spending $50000 building a car. If you don't want it for Targa all it needs one day is a gear set or a 6 speed.

You could be out next weekend enjoying your self without spending much at all. An old GC8 can still be competitive in the right hands just ask Brendon.

2) If you have a bigger budget and want to do Targa buy a fully prepared car and budget at least $40000 plus for freshening up, but as Brendon said you need to do your research on second hand racecars or start with the best possible car you can afford.

Good luck

Michael
